Standards & Compliance

Certified Data Center Compliance & Standards Consultant (DCSC™)

Data centers play a critical role in supporting modern organizations, and any interruption to their operation can result in significant business impact and financial loss. Because of this, organizations often implement resilience measures at multiple layers, including both the facility infrastructure and the ICT systems.

However, relying solely on advice from vendors, consultants, or publicly available information can sometimes lead to systems being over-designed or under-designed. To avoid this, it is more effective to follow a recognized and widely accepted standard as the foundation for design and construction.

The ANSI/TIA-942 provides detailed requirements and guidance for planning and building data centers. It is primarily intended for designers who require a thorough understanding of data center architecture and design principles. The standard covers key areas such as architectural layout, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and telecommunications infrastructure, which are often not fully addressed in general guidelines or informal industry practices.
